This product is a scam I purchased one 2 months ago. The road maps are 5 years out of date the best I can tell based on when road changes occured. After contacting customer support I was informed that all Magellan products are pre-loaded with the same map and that the customer has to purchase an additional map upgrade in order to have maps that are not 5 years out of date. The cost of this update is [...]. My suggestion for a similar product is a Garmin Nuvi 500 series because Garmin has a 60 day map update guarantee which allows the customer to update the maps in the unit anytime within the first 60 days in order to ensure that their customers are happy too bad Magellan takes a worse business approach.
